Funny story about Bruceman...
I decided to paint Brucemand and Brucelad for a class when I couldn't think of a subject. It's a watercolor/acrylic hybrid, something that I've been doing lately, and last week, I bring it to class to work on as well as have my teacher talk about it with me. He looks at it, and one of the first things he says while looking at it is that it looks like it is "strong with homosexual symbolism." First I snorted, then I looked at it and saw nothing homosexual about it at all, and then began to wonder, "Wait, does this guy think I'm gay?" I guess drawing superheroes with younger boys that have underwear on their heads might have someone falsely assume it's a homosexual... Thing. The weird thing is, if he knew that Brucelad is supposed to be just a kid, his statement makes it sound like a big pro-Nambla (shudders) painting. And for a teacher who I'm pretty certain is gay, I don't think he'd want that crazy group associated to such a sexual preference.

I guess it's good that Brucelad was horribly mutilated to death.
